The Victorian Greens have slammed Jacinta Allan’s Labor Government for totally warped priorities as it’s today been revealed that costs for luxury upgrades at the Grand Prix have blown out by tens of millions of dollars.
The Victorian Greens say that it’s pretty messed up when Labor prioritises handing over hundreds of millions of dollars for luxury corporate box upgrades at the Grand Prix for the ultra-wealthy while our public schools have had their funding gutted, our community health centres are at risk of closing, and the public housing waitlist is ballooning out of control.
Labor’s luxury corporate box upgrades at the Grand Prix were originally announced as costing $350 million in taxpayer funds, but it has today been revealed that the cost has been overblown by at least $45 million after the discovery of asbestos.
Former Labor Minister Martin Pakula is now the chair of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.
